Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Lekkerbook ("the app"), provided by Avenlume (Pty) Ltd. ("we", "us"), handles your personal information. We are based in South Africa and follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in readable form) and whether you use the app as a customer or a service provider.
• Booking information: the business, service, date, time, price and status of each appointment you make or manage.
• Business information (service providers): the business name, description and services you choose to publish.
• Reports: if you report a business, the reason and any details you write.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or payment details. We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.

2. How we use it

• To create and secure your account, including password reset emails.
• To let customers book appointments and let businesses manage them.
• To review reports and keep the service safe.
• To understand overall usage (for example, the number of sign-ups and bookings) using our own database.

3. Who can see your information

• When you book, the business you book with can see your name and the booking details.
• Business names, descriptions and services are visible to all signed-in users.
• We do not sell your information.

4. Service providers we use

We use Supabase to host our database and handle sign-in, and an email service to send account emails. They process data on our behalf and only to provide the service. Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and sign-in details are deleted. Businesses you booked with keep a record of the booking without your name. If you are a service provider, deleting your account also deletes your businesses, services and their bookings.

6. Your rights and deleting your account

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

7. Children

The app is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
